Emily Brandt named First Team Scholar All-American
The sophomore capped her LTCC playing career with the nation's top academic award.
Lake Tahoe Community College women's soccer player Emily Brandt capped her junior college playing career with the nation's top academic award after being named First Team Scholar All-American by United Soccer Coaches (USC).
Brandt, a sophomore out of Reno, Nev., holds a 4.0 GPA in Kinesiology. She is the 12th LTCC women's player to be named Scholar All-American and the 15th overall across both LTCC soccer programs.
To qualify for the USC Scholar All-American award, players must be sophomores in athletic standing, have at least a 3.3 GPA throughout their career, and have played in at least 75 percent of all the team's games, in addition to being an elite player supported by playing honors (i.e. all-conference) and contributions to the team.
Brandt took home Golden Valley Conference (GVC) Most Valuable Player, All-State, First Team All-NorCal, and First Team All-GVC honors in 2025. She led the Coyotes in goals (13) and points (37) while dishing out 11 assists. Her 37 points tied for the most in the GVC.
The Coyotes put together a 12-6-4 overall record and won their eighth-straight GVC title.
