SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The 2025 season got off to a solid start for the Lake Tahoe Community College men's soccer team as the Coyotes edged Contra Costa 3-2 on Friday afternoon.
Mason Franks, a freshman forward out of Livermore, Calif., scored twice and added an assist on his collegiate debut. He supplied fellow first-year and Las Vegas native Joseph Gonzalez on his first career goal.
Sophomore
Jesus Mendoza started the scoring in the 30th minute off a dish from freshman Milo Cameron.
The win in its opening game is the first for LTCC since 2022.
The Coyotes hit the road next week, visiting College of the Sequoias (Aug. 26), Mt. SAC (Aug. 29) and Fullerton College (Aug. 31).Â
