Lake Tahoe pushes top seed to the brink, but falls in 3C2A NorCal Regional

SANTA ROSA, Calif. - 17th-seeded Lake Tahoe cut a two-goal first-half deficit in half but could not find the equalizer the final half hour in its 2-1 loss to top-seeded Santa Rosa on Saturday afternoon in the 3C2A NorCal Regional playoffs second round.

The Coyotes finish the season 11-6-5 overall while Santa Rosa improves to 17-1-3 on its way to Round 3.

LTCC had advanced to Round 2 after beating No. 16 seed Clovis College in overtime, 2-1, on Wednesday afternoon.
