SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Lake Tahoe Community College women's soccer team put together its most thorough victory of 2025 with a 5-0 road win over Las Positas College.
Karina Vargas scored twice,
Emily Brandt logged two assists and the Coyotes (3-3-2) earned their first win since Aug. 26, which happened to be another 5-goal performance.
LTCC started the week with a tough 2-0 road loss at No. 2 Folsom Lake, but rebounded with authority against Las Positas.
Avery Hayes put LTCC ahead in the 15th minute before
Olivia Kwachak-Hall made it 2-0 in the 20th.
Alyssa Allan then registered her team-leading fourth goal of the season to make it 3-0 by the 55th.
Vargas put a bow on top of it in the 65th and 75th, both on dishes from Brandt.
Brandt now leads the team with four assists on the year.
LTCC travels to No. 8 Sierra College on Sept. 23 before starting a three-game homestand.
The Coyotes host No. 15 West Valley College (Sept. 28), Shasta College (Sept. 30) and Feather River College (Oct. 3).
