SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Lake Tahoe Community College men's soccer team is unbeaten in its last three matches following a four-point week.
The Coyotes (3-2-2) secured a road win over American River College (Sept. 9) before drawing with City College of San Francisco at home.
Joseph Gonzalez scored for the second straight game, providing the difference in the 55th minute against ARC. The freshman from Las Vegas now has three goals on the young season. Alex Avina was credited with the assist in the 1-0 win.
Returning home on Friday afternoon to face CCSF, the Coyotes led 2-0 at the half only to see the lead slip away.
Mason Franks's sixth goal of the year put the Coyotes ahead in the 20th minute before
Brandon Lopez's first collegiate goal pushed the lead to two in the 35th.
Oscar Mendoza and
Jesus Mendoza dished out assists.
Unfortunately, CCSF (1-1-2) scored in the 70th and then as time expired to force a 2-2 draw.Â
LTCC remains undefeated at home (2-0-1).
The Coyotes play two road games at Folsom Lake College (Sept. 16) and Las Positas College (Sept. 19) next week. The next home games are scheduled for Sept. 30 (vs Shasta College) and Oct. 3 (Feather River College).
