Blaise Named USC All-American

Sophomore Midfielder Becomes Sixth All-American in Program History

Sophomore Midfielder Skylar Blaise was named a second-team All-American on Tuesday by the United Soccer Coaches. Blaise, who led the nation in assists and led the state of California in points (73 points on 23 goals and 27 assists), becomes the sixth All-American in program history (all six since 2018). Blaise finishes her career with 91 points on 31 goals and 29 assists.

"Sky will go down as one of the best players to have come through this program, and that's really saying something considering all the talent we've had over the years," said head coach Jeremy Evans. "I think even more importantly, though, she will be known as one of the hardest workers to have come through the program. From being first in fitness tests, to winning every tackle on defense, to connecting every pass in the attacking third, nobody was more competitive than Sky. But competitive in a positive, healthy way. Every play mattered to her. Nobody wanted to will the team to victory more than Sky. She's been a pleasure to coach, and there couldn't be a more deserving All-American."
