SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Coyotes traveled to Sacramento State for the Hornet invite where the young team rose up to meet the great talent. In a field littered with talent, olympians, Division 1 leaders the coyotes fought hard.

Highlights of the meet included:

Niza Barton shaves 2 seconds off her 800m best, and 4 seconds of her 1500m. The freshman adjusts to collegiate racing with ease as she gets out hard and competes in both events. 

Caitlin Fulbright takes their first dive under 19 min in the 5k with an 18:57 run on friday night, this earns her the state B qualifying mark. Additionally, the next day Caitlin takes a massive 10 seconds off her 1500m PR with a 5:11.

Hudson Conners shaves 7 seconds off his 1500m after a week of only cross training, showing great resilience.

Jacob Christopher's 14:43 5k this earns the yote' an automatic entry into the CCCAA State Championship this May. This mark ranks him #2 in the state of California.

Lake Tahoe enjoys a bye-week before hitting the road again for the Mike Fanelli Distance Carnival 4/3-4/5
