Coyotes shine at the Hornet Invite

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Coyotes continue to make great strides week over week, improving upon their season bests and capturing two CCCAA State A Standards at the Hornet Invite hosted by Sacramento State University on Friday March 15th and 16th.
Friday's portion of the meet was highlighted with Lex Craven's debut in the 3000m Steeplechase. As the only community college runner in the field, Lex placed 12th overall in the field of sixteen. Lex's time of 12:02.61 ranks 3rd in the State, securing the State A standard for the event.
Saturday was also filled with personal bests as Angel "Danny" Robles started off the day with a big time improvement of his 800m. Jackson Davis and Jacob Christopher rounded out the day both competing in the 1500m. Jacob won his heat in a time of 3:57.66 capturing the State A Standard in the event, he is currently ranked 3rd in the State. Jackson and Jacob showed great promise in the event as the Coyotes head into their next competition at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic, March 29th and 30th hosted by Chabot College in Hayward, CA.
