Coyotes earn highest national ranking since 2019
Lake Tahoe CC is ranked No. 4 as of Oct. 15.
The Lake Tahoe Community College women's soccer team came in at No. 4 in the United Soccer Coaches NJCAA DIII Women's National Rankings, it was announced Tuesday.
The ranking is the Coyotes' highest since 2019 and is the fifth week the Coyotes have been ranked in the national top 10 during the 2024 regular season. LTCC (11-1-2) twice reached as high as No. 6 (Sept. 10, Oct. 1).
Head coach Jeremy Evans' program has won its last seven matches by a combined score of 54-1. Four of those wins have been by nine goals or more.
LTCC, which sits in first place of the Golden Valley Conference with a sterling 5-0 record, hits the road to take on San Joaquin Delta College on Friday, Oct. 18. The Coyotes' next home match is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 11am against College of the Redwoods.
Sophomore Leslie Jacobo-Duran leads the Coyotes with 20 goals and 19 assists on the year.
