Jacobo-Duran named MVP, Minier midfielder of the year
Eight total Coyotes were named all-conference by Golden Valley Conference coaches.
Leslie Jacobo-Duran was named the Golden Valley Conference's Most Valuable Player for a second straight season, while freshman Darleen Minier was named the conference's Co-Midfielder of the Year.
Jacobo-Duran finishes her LTCC career as the program's all-time leading scorer with 65 goals, 53 assists (183 points), breaking the program's single-season goals record in 2023 (33 goals) and its single-season assists record in 2024 (33). She notched 32 goals and a state-leading 33 assists in her sophomore campaign for the Coyotes, who finished 19-2-2 and ranked sixth nationally.
Minier, a freshman from Las Vegas, had nine goals and two assists (20 points) from primarily a holding midfield role. Both players helped the Coyotes to the No. 1 overall seed in the NorCal Regional Playoffs, where the team lost in the fourth round to City College of San Francisco.
Emily Brandt, Haylie Rok, and Yoselin Lopez-Lugo were all-named first-team all GVC, while freshman goalkeeper Tyler Boren, freshman Zoe Baligad, and sophomore Izzy Tauataina were named to the second team. Lopez-Lugo and Tauataina were also all-conference players in 2023.
