LTCC women clinch sixth consecutive GVC title
The Coyotes outscored conference opponents 83-0 in 2023.
The Lake Tahoe Community College women's soccer team completed its sixth consecutive unblemished Golden Valley Conference season with an 11-0 win over Feather River College earlier this month in South Lake Tahoe, California.
The Lady Coyotes haven't lost a GVC game since 2016, having outscored the opposition 433-5 during that span, including an 83-0 mark this season. LTCC hasn't allowed a goal in conference since 2019.
LTCC (12-6-1 overall, 10-0 conference) will be the No. 13 seed in this month's CCCAA Northern California Regional Playoffs. The Lady Coyotes will play at No. 4 seed Sierra College on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Rocklin.
Saturday's playoff game will mark the fourth time in the past five seasons LTCC and Sierra have squared off in the playoffs. The Lady Coyotes defeated the Wolverines in 2018 and 2019, while the Wolverines ended the Lady Coyotes' season last year. All three previous playoff meetings between the two schools ended with a 2-0 scoreline.
