Pevenage, Wakeling named Scholar All-Americans
Sophomores become program's eighth and ninth Scholar All-Americans since 2017.
Lake Tahoe CC sophomores Jenna Pevenage and Natalyn Wakeling were both named to the United Soccer Coaches All-America teams this week.
Pevenage, a Nursing major with a 4.0 GPA from South Lake Tahoe, California, was the Golden Valley Conference's Co-Defensive Player of the Year (was conference's defensive player of the year in 2022). She was also named All-Northern California during her career at LTCC.
Wakeling, a Psychology major with a 4.0 GPA from Carson City, Nev., was named to the Golden Valley Conference's first team. She also received all-conference honors in 2022.
Pevenage and Wakeling, who were team captains this season, become the program's eighth and ninth Scholar All-Americans, respectively, since 2017.
"I couldn't be more ecstatic for these two wonderful young ladies," said coach Jeremy Evans. "They are not only great student-athletes on and off the field, they are amazing human beings destined for big things in the future."
With LTCC men's player Harry Dwelly also being named United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American, LTCC now has 11 Scholar All-Americans since 2017. The three selections in 2023 set a program record for the number of Scholar All-Americans from LTCC in the same season.
