Coyotes take 2nd at Golden Valley Conference Championship
Jacob Manning finished the 4-mile race in 21:29 to take second overall.
MENDOCINO, Calif. - The Lake Tahoe Community College men's cross country team finished in second place at the Golden Valley Conference (GVC) Championships on Saturday morning at Mendocino College.
Jacob Manning led all Coyotes with a time of 21:29 on the 4-mile course. He was the sole racer to finish in the top-5 outside of GVC conference champion Butte.
Kyle Oltmanns and Elijah Gilleland took sixth and seventh with times of 21:54 and 22:02, respectively.
Ben Cook-Appel (22:25, 9th) and Joel Nord (22:33, 10th) rounded out the scoring for LTCC.
Manning, Gilleland and Oltmanns all earned GVC All-Conference honors with their finishes in the top seven.
The Coyotes have a quick turnaround and will head back to Woodward Park in Fresno for the 3C2A NorCal Regional Championships on Friday, November 7.
