FRESNO, Calif. — Woodward Park, perhaps the most famous cross country course in history, gave another day of fantastic performances.
Niza Barton set the tone for the day, starting the crew off with a bang as she made her sophomore debut. A year of training paid dividends as Niza took the course racing wisely for her 15th-place effort, finishing in 19:40. This shaved nearly two minutes off her time from last year.
On the men's side, freshman Ben Cook-Appel led the pack with a 37th-place finish in a field of 253 runners. Cook-Appel finished the four-mile course in 21:50.
