Bio

Jeremy Evans transformed the Lake Tahoe Community College (LTCC) men's and women's soccer programs into regional and national powerhouses during his tenure from 2015 to 2025.

While overseeing both programs, Evans compiled a combined career record of 209-90-44 (.674). His accolades include six Golden Valley Conference (GVC) Coach of the Year awards, two California Community College Soccer Coaches Association (CCCSCA) Northern California Coach of the Year honors, and two selections as a finalist for the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Junior College Division III National Coach of the Year.

Women’s Program Success
In 10 seasons leading the women's program, Evans posted a 144-47-26 (.724) record, including a dominant 93-9-3 (.900) mark in GVC play. Under his leadership, the Coyotes won eight straight GVC titles (2017-19, 2021-25) and made two CCCAA Final Four appearances (2018-19). In 2019, the Coyotes became only the fourth women's junior college program in history to be ranked No. 1 nationally, holding the top spot for six consecutive weeks.

Between 2017 and 2024, the women’s team went 71-0 in conference play, outscoring opponents 504-9. Notably, the team did not concede a single goal in conference action from 2019 to 2023. The Coyote women appeared in the national rankings annually from 2017-22, including a streak of 25 consecutive polls in the top 10.

Men’s Program Success
Evans assumed men's head coaching duties in 2019. By 2023, he had guided the men to their first GVC title in eight years and was named the 2023 GVC Men's Coach of the Year. That season, the LTCC men made history as the first No. 16 seed to defeat a top seed in the CCCAA NorCal Regional Playoffs. Evans finished his men's soccer tenure with a record of 65-43-18, never finishing outside the GVC top three.

Player Development
Evans holds a strong track record of advancement, with over 90 percent of his sophomores receiving four-year offers and over 70 percent transferring to four-year institutions. His tenure produced:

  • 28 GVC Players of the Year and 90 All-GVC selections.

  • Eight USC All-Americans (five First Team).

  • 11 USC West Region performers.

  • Transfers to NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA programs, including two players who went on to win NCAA National Championships (Madeline Smith, FSU; Rebecca Niblett, Bridgeport).

  • Two professional players (Madison Boyd and Lauren Wolcott).

Before LTCC
Evans was a two-time Nevada Division I-A State Coach of the Year at South Tahoe High School, winning consecutive state titles in 2013 and 2014. He holds a USSF "B" License and has served as a Director of Coaching for the South Tahoe Futbol Club and as a staff coach for the Olympic Development Program (ODP).

Evans played collegiately at Marquette University (1998-2000) and Phoenix College (1995-97). A 2000 graduate of Marquette, he earned his Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) in 2010 from Sierra Nevada University (now the University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe).
