LTCC crowned Conference Champions
Coyotes win first title since 2015.
The Lake Tahoe Community College men's soccer team won its first Golden Valley Conference championship in eight years with a 4-2 victory earlier this month at Lassen College in Susanville, Calif.
The Coyotes finished the league season 9-0-1, breaking the record for the most conference wins in program history.
LTCC (11-5-2) will be the No. 16 seed at the CCCAA Northern California Regional Playoffs. No. 16 Lake Tahoe will face No. 1 seed Skyline College (16-2-2) on Saturday at 11 a.m. The Coyotes are making their third consecutive regional playoff appearance and their seventh overall appearance since the program's inception in 2014.
Coupled with the LTCC women's undefeated conference season, Lake Tahoe CC became the first school since 2009 to see both its men's and women's soccer teams win GVC titles in the same season.
The LTCC men won conference titles in 2014 and 2015.
