Niza Barton, Cross Country and Track & Field
The Nevada native competes in long distances for the Coyotes and looks towards the future.
Niza Barton became a Coyote because she loved the idea of living in Tahoe and competing for the cross country team. Since arriving on campus as a freshman in 2024, Niza has been instrumental to the growth and success of the LTCC running programs.
Most memorable LTCC moment: "My favorite memory is the conference championship last year—doing well in the race and watching our men's team do well, too."
Future plans: "I'm planning on transferring to Cal Poly Humboldt, and I hope to continue running while I pursue a degree in Psychology."
What she’ll miss the most: "I really enjoy spending time with both programs. It's a nice community to have, and everyone, including the coaches, brings a positive energy."
